Kelli Jasper

If you had asked twentysomething Kelli her thoughts on a career in marketing, she would have gagged on her own saliva. A business degree? Ugh!! But two decades down a winding trail of other endeavors she learned that marketing (good marketing) is made of her favorite things: storytelling, psychology, making people smile, presenting solutions to their problems, and pondering the big, wonderous ideas about being human in this crazy world. Oh yeah, and also earning money!

Luckily those decades built plenty of critical skills...a PhD in English and many years as a college writing instructor add up to one pretty geeky word-nerd who loves research, analysis, nailing the right voice, and crafting a seamless flow toward the mic-drop. An obsession with gardens and flowers has crept in all along the way, from summer jobs and side-hustles to academic publications (just ask the title of her dissertation…or don’t, ha!). She launched her marketing company and her own tiny flower farm on the same day in 2022, and it’s just the best thing ever when those two worlds intertwine.  

Can we say that Kelli’s whole life has been building to DirtCon 2026? A bit dramatic, but she thinks yes. At any rate, if you find yourself gagging at the thought of marketing your flowers, she gets it. But she’s here to change your mind. Because once you start, you’ll learn that writing real words to real people…words that bring real joy and make real money…can be a heck of a lot of fun!
